To serve as the national U.S. distributor for plastic film and other industrial applications of Tospearl* Micro-Fine silicone resins

ALBANY, New York, February 15, 2010 -- Momentive Performance Materials Inc. announced today that it has expanded its relationship with ChemPoint.com, a leading e-distributor of specialty and fine chemicals.  Effective today, ChemPoint will be the national distributor within the United States for industrial applications of Momentive’s Tospearl Micro-Fine silicone resins.  ChemPoint will provide marketing, sales, and order fulfillment to target customers in plastic film and other industrial applications.

Tospearl Micro-Fine silicone resins are excellent candidates to consider to act as a slip-additive or anti-blocking agent in film applications.  This product can help provide high-heat stability and superb lubricity, which prevents agglomeration and may allow the customer greater production flexibility.  The customer may be able to run higher processing speeds to increase efficiency and throughput, while minimizing downtime.
